OUR ETHICS

THIS IS HOW WE SHOW UP

The Craft

At Akobie, every garment begins with a conversation — between tradition and modernity, between the artisan and the fabric, between who we are and who we're dressing.

We work with skilled craftspeople who have carried their knowledge across generations. Their hands are in every stitch. Their stories are in every pattern. We don't outsource that. We protect it.

The People

Fashion has a people problem. We're choosing a different path.

We believe the people who make our clothes deserve to be seen, valued, and fairly compensated. We are committed to knowing exactly where our pieces come from and ensuring every person in that chain is treated with dignity.

We source intentionally. Fabrics like Asokẹ, the hand-woven cloth of the Yoruba people, are chosen not just for their beauty, but for what they represent: a living tradition that deserves a global stage.

We choose quality over quantity. Pieces made to last, not to be discarded.

The Fabrics

Inclusivity

Style has no size at Akobie.

From the very beginning, we designed for real women, in all their shapes, curves, and confidence. Inclusivity isn't a campaign for us. It's how we think.

FROM OUR CULTURE, TO YOUR WARDROBE

The Akobie Team

We don't claim to be perfect. But we are committed, to doing better, being honest, and building a brand that means something beyond the clothes.
